Pimple patches
Hydrocolloid pimple patches absorb fluid from spots that have come to a head or already opened, keep dirt out and stop you from picking. Stick one on clean, dry skin and leave it for a few hours or overnight until it turns cloudy white, then replace it. Thin patches with bevelled edges are almost invisible and work under a mask during the day. Patches will not flatten deep, painful cysts under the skin; for swollen, large or long-lasting spots, ask a dermatologist. Some patches add tea tree or salicylic acid, so sensitive skin may do better with plain hydrocolloid. Mixed-size packs cover both small chin spots and bigger cheek ones.
